Canon notes: AU where Cole comes back to life for a third time and is Chris Halliwell's father

Species: Human/Demon hybrid

History: Cole Turner was born January 19, 1885 to Elizabeth and Benjamin Turner, a demon and human respectively. When Cole was three, Benjamin found out that Elizabeth was a demon and he fought to take their son away from her, but Elizabeth killed Benjamin in front of Cole and then took both Cole and Benjamin's soul to the Underworld where she would raise Cole as a demon and use her husband's soul as leverage to make sure he stayed that way. As he grew older, he started to make a name for himself in the Underworld as Belthazor, a demonic soldier of fortune. The Source of All Evil, a powerful evil entity, took notice of him and chose him to join the Brotherhood of the Thorn and like Elizabeth, used Benjamin's soul to ensure his loyalty. After many years of serving the Brotherhood spectacularly, Belthazor was hired by the Triad to take down the Charmed Ones, three good sister witches who were the most powerful good beings in the world.

Posing as the Assistant District Attorney, Cole started his mission to get close to the Charmed Ones and take them down. He first met the oldest and youngest of the sisters, Prue and Phoebe Halliwell, while working on a case involving a demonic judge protecting serial killers and would later truly meet the middle sister, Piper. Seeing Phoebe as his way in, he gets close to her and the two start dating, all while Cole tries attacks through other means to take the sisters down. Complications arose when Cole and the sisters went back in time as Phoebe and a disguised Cole learned that they may possibly be soulmates. He started sabotaging his own attacks while he truly fell in love Phoebe and this eventually led to another demon, Andras the demon of rage, possessing him and attacking the sisters when Cole let an opportunity to kill the sisters go to waste. Injured and branded a traitor, Cole returned to the Triad, only to kill them and go on the run from the Source and the demonic bounty hunters that had been sent after him. His identity as Belthazor was revealed to Phoebe by the half-failed healing attempt done by the Halliwells' whitelighter, Leo Wyatt, and then Cole subsequently kidnapping her to keep himself alive. After proving to Phoebe that he was on her side by killing the bounty hunter, she faked his vanquish and he went on the run. He soon returned for good, wanting to help the sisters out and try to prove that he could be a good man and not fall prey to his demonic urges. There were a few missteps in the beginning, but Cole proved himself to be a valuable ally and was even invited to Leo and Piper's wedding.

Cole's past caught up to him when the Brotherhood of the Thorn appeared in town and were working on something big. Knowing that the sisters' usual ways of fighting wouldn't work, Cole decided to go undercover and stop their plans from the inside. The Brotherhood was suspicious of Cole and kept a close eye on him to see if he was truly a traitor. The sisters worked to stop the Brotherhood from their end while Cole decided on working his own plan. They succeeded and Cole believed he was free of suspicion at the end of it, but he had been caught and brought to Raynor, the leader of the Brotherhood, to make him pay for his betrayal or turn him back to evil. Raynor sent Cole on a mission, which Cole relayed to the sisters to make sure the witches he targeted would be kept safe, and knowing that he would do this, Raynor sowed seeds of doubt in the sisters by murdering one of the witches Cole had to steal from and then manipulating Cole with a spell to kill the other. With Phoebe's love in him gone after he killed the witch, Cole returned to the Underworld and killed Raynor, returning to evil once more like Raynor had planned. He started doing anything and everything to get rid of his love for Phoebe and as a precaution made himself immune to his own vanquishing potion, which was a good thing because Piper summoned him so he could help change Phoebe back from a banshee. He declined, but was soon forced into it when Phoebe returned and attacked Cole. He declared his love for her and told her the truth about what happened before returning to the Underworld. Phoebe soon came for him and reversed the spell, turning him back into a good man. Cole wanted her to stay with him, but their plans were derailed when mortals found out about magic and that the Source himself was in the area due to how disastrous this was. Wanting to save the sisters, Cole made a bargain with the Source for the use of Tempus' ability to turn back time at the cost of him and Phoebe staying in the Underworld. When the Source tried to have them killed, Leo helped them to escape from the Underworld.

When the three of them returned, it was to tragedy. The Source's assassin, Shax, had succeeded in killing Prue and thus destroying the Power of Three. Despite the threat of demonic bounty hunters, Cole goes to Prue's funeral with Phoebe to help her through the loss of her sister. Afterwards, Phoebe gets a premonition about a girl getting attacked by Shax and demonic bounty hunters appear to attack Cole. Piper, distraught by the loss of her older sister and furious at the demon attacks, doesn't want to be involved in helping a new innocent, leaving Cole and Phoebe to deal with it alone. When Shax attacks, they find out that the girl, Paige is a whitelighter, due to her instinctively orbing out of the way of Shax's attack. They soon find out that Paige is not only a whitelighter, but also part-witch and Piper and Phoebe's younger half-sister. The sisters reinstate the Power of Three and destroy Shax, but Paige is overwhelmed and leaves, giving the Source an opportunity to turn her evil. Cole tracks down the Source to find Paige, but is stabbed by the Source and left for dead. The sisters and Leo eventually find Cole and Paige uses her half-whitelighter side to help Leo heal Cole completely. Aware that the Source is gunning for them even harder than before, Cole starts assisting Piper and Phoebe in vanquishing demons while Paige learns to be a witch and stepping up his training with Phoebe, though he ends up backing down on his training thanks to a bodyswap and a few choice sisterly words from Paige about how he was treating Phoebe. After that, he goes back on the run again, avoiding demonic bounty hunters and keeping them from bothering the sisters. He returns to the sisters after learning that a chameleon demon is spying on them for the Source, but they only succeed in injuring the demon, who returns to the Source, and the Source himself kidnaps Piper. Cole and Leo team up to save Piper from him, Cole succeeding in injuring the Source and killing his Oracle while they do so. Soon afterwards, a demon copying Belthazor appears in town and Paige, having not known Cole as long as the others, is suspicious of him until it's revealed that Sykes, the new ADA, is actually the demon behind it. To defeat Sykes, Cole has to fully embrace his demon half and succeeds in killing him, but at the cost of nearly losing himself to his demonic side. Cole's stopped by a power stripping potion, which not only makes him powerless, but turns him completely human.

Lost without his powers, Cole tries to find out how to fit in as a human and not quite succeeding. He quits his job at legal aid after punching a slumlord, he buys a gun to protect himself, and gets arrested for not having any sort of ID. He and Phoebe get possessed by a pair of ghosts and after getting shot, Phoebe decides that she is going to go ahead in marrying him. There's an incident involving a cursed wedding ring that causes trouble, but things truly go from good to terrible when the Source decides to unleash the Hollow, an entity that absorbs all magic, on the sisters. The Seer, seeing only destruction for all if the Source is allowed to continue this plan, enlists Cole's help in stopping the Source. Cole takes the Hollow into himself and uses it to destroy the Source. This comes with a terrible downside since Cole absorbed the Source's powers with the Hollow, the Source had taken root inside the void left from Cole's demon half being stripped away. Over the course of a couple days, the Source completely possessed Cole. He didn't give up without a fight and while the Source planned to make Phoebe his queen and their unborn son his evil heir, Cole worked on manipulating the Source to make sure that he didn't kill any of the sisters and used his humanity to weaken him. There was a chance for Cole to be free of the Source's control. The last wizard wished to take the Source's powers and Cole, having enough influence by then to do his own actions, decided to let him. It was only due to the Seer's meddling and Phoebe stopping him that Cole failed, but it didn't matter because not long afterwards, Phoebe left the Source's side and vanquished him with the Power of Three.

Separated from the Source in death, Cole's soul was sent to the Demonic Wasteland, a hellish place where a demon's essence is eaten by a monstrous beast. Since Cole had a soul, he was able to escape from the beast for a period of time and send a message to Phoebe for help. She soon sent a message to him by astral projection, telling him to move on and that she wouldn't help him come back to life due to her believing he had been the Source by choice instead of being possessed. Dejected, Cole nearly sacrificed himself to the beast until he realized he could absorb powers from the essences of dead demons and kill the beast. Collecting a countless number of powers, Cole escaped from the Wasteland just in time to save Phoebe from a witch hunter and promised that he would win her back. He first stopped his divorce, momentarily turned his friend and police officer Darryl Morris into a water cooler, and then accidentally frightened Phoebe when she cut his hand and found out his blood was now acidic from one of the powers he picked up. Cole then moved on to trying to do good things, which ended up with Paige telling him to leave because Phoebe had turned into a mermaid to try to avoid him. With Darryl's advice, Cole decided to leave for Phoebe's happiness, but Paige returned to keep him in town because she realized Phoebe did still love him. He decided to continue his advances towards her by fighting demons and saving innocents, but he eventually distanced himself from Phoebe when he nearly killed her while under the control of a siren and killed a slumlord who was blackmailing her.

Of course, nothing in Cole's life can ever go well and soon the demon of fear, Barbas, wished to have Cole's collected powers for himself. Barbas started driving Cole insane with his fears of losing Phoebe and becoming evil with only Paige trying to help him. Giving him a power stripping potion, Cole lost his powers while Barbas gained them and soon Cole realized that to keep his collected powers away from those who wanted to harm the sisters, he had to take them back. Once everything was settled and Barbas gone again, Cole went back to distancing himself from the sisters. Now he was getting visits from a pair of powerful beings known as Avatars, who wished to have Cole join them due to his power. Cole denied and continued to wallow until he came up with an idea to end everything. Coming up with a plan to have the sisters hate him enough to kill him, he put it into action and they came after him. Phoebe realized his plan too late and Cole attempted to commit suicide, but didn't succeed due to his powers making him invulnerable and unable to die. This drove him further into insanity to the point where he was focusing entirely on different ways to kill himself to see if there was a way that would work. He was interrupted by Paige and Piper, who needed his help locating Phoebe. Instead of helping the sisters, he went and assisted the demon Jeric, who had Phoebe possessed by his love Isis. In actuality, he had put together a plan to save all the sisters and stop Jeric and Isis. Still thought of as evil, Cole left and decided to actually go evil, gathering a number of demons and putting together a plan to take the manor and, by extension, the Nexus from the sisters through legal means instead of demonic. He nearly succeeded, but was foiled by Phoebe, who pretended to be the shapeshifter he had been sleeping with, and stopped his plan to absorb the power of the Nexus.

On his 118th birthday, Paige tried to kill him. The attempt was unsuccessful, but it pushed him over the edge and made him finally decide to join the Avatars. Before he officially joined them, he asked to be allowed to manipulate reality and created an alternate timeline where he was still half-demon, the Power of Three had never been reconstituted, and Phoebe was still married to him. Thanks to Paige orb-sneezing, she was unaffected by the reality change and worked to get the Power of Three back together and vanquish Cole, which ended up succeeding and Cole was vanquished for what seemed to be the last time, with only Paige remembering what happened. Unlike last time, Cole was stuck in the void between life and death, unable to interact with anyone or anything. After some time, he learned to interact with people and objects, which he then used to help a mercury demon become human for a year with the stipulation that he would help Phoebe find love again. Then a few months after he died, he was brought back to life by Chris, a young demon from the future. It took a few days for him to recover from being revived, but when he had fully recovered, he had not only become suspicious of Chris, but also realized that he had been returned to life as his original half-demon self. Knowing that it'd be more painful to hide himself, he revealed he was alive to the sisters and kept himself out of their affairs even though he started to hang around the manor. It was thanks to him hanging around that he ended up getting trapped in the house by an unnamed goo demon alongside Leo, Chris, and the ghost of Grams while Piper and Phoebe went back into the past to save Paige, who had accidentally been sent back by a pair of gogo boots. The boys did their best to try fighting back against the goo demon and whenever Chris wasn't nearby, Leo kept dropping very obvious hints to Cole about who Chris actually was. Thankfully, the sisters returned just in time to vanquish the goo demon and the day was saved.

Because of Leo's hints, Cole knew that Chris was actually Chris Halliwell, Cole and Phoebe's son from the future who came back to save Wyatt, but wasn't able to confront Chris about it until after they took down the Order, a group who believed that Piper and Leo's son Wyatt was the reincarnation of their vanquished leader, and saved Wyatt. Cole pushed Chris violently into admitting the truth and decides to not only help Chris with keeping his secret and help with his mission, but to also make sure that he's conceived. Chris' first attempt to get his parents together for at least a one night stand is a spell to show Phoebe Cole's love for her, but it backfires big time and Cole instead starts flirting with everyone except for Phoebe, which leads to Cole accidentally revealing to Piper that Chris is his and Phoebe's son. Unknown to Cole, Piper soon finds out the truth about Cole and the Source and starts to treat him better than she had previously. The spell is reversed and everyone is more than a little bit embarrassed by what happened and they all vow to never speak of it. Chaos soon arrives in the form of a magic door and a head falling out of it. Sigmund, the head, is a professor at Magic School, which was being terrorized by the Headless Horseman that a student conjured to behead the teachers. Gideon, an Elder and headmaster of Magic School, had sent Sigmund to ask for the Charmed Ones' assistance to find the student causing this and stop them before somebody died since thankfully, nobody can die while they're in Magic School. Because Cole is a half-demon, he cannot enter Magic School and is violently thrown from the doorway, which leads him to stay behind in the manor and later assists a beheaded Piper in wrangling the students they had brought to the manor. Eventually the student is found and everyone that had lost their head to the horseman got it reattached.

As it gets closer to when Chris has to be conceived or he'll never be born, he starts getting more drastic. During a situation where Chris, Cole, Piper, and Leo find a genie who is actually a demon and tricks Piper to swap places with her, Chris uses one of the wishes to get Cole and Phoebe to sleep together. It doesn't work exactly the way he wants it to, with Cole and Phoebe taking a nap together and missing out on defeating the genie, as well as miss that Paige finds out that Chris is their son. Not long after that, an assassin demon shows up and sets Chris off. Cole is forced to keep Chris from running off to kill the demon himself and learns that not only does he die on Chris' fourteenth birthday, but that this demon is the one who is responsible. He convinced Chris to return to the manor and help the sisters and they all worked together to vanquish the demon. Wyatt's first birthday soon arrived and so did the last day for Chris to be conceived so that he could exist. Gideon, who is behind what happens to Wyatt in the future, sees Cole as a threat and sends a demon out to get rid of him. The demon grabs Cole and accidentally brings Phoebe along to a labyrinth in the Underworld that they can't shimmer out of and starts to hunt them down. Cole protects Phoebe from any attacks and is badly wounded in the process. Thinking that Cole was going to die, they spend one last intimate moment together before Cole does a kamikaze run to kill the demon. He succeeds in killing the demon and thanks to Chris, the others are able to find them and heal Cole before it's too late. Returning to the manor, they find out that Chris still exists and has been successfully conceived. Nobody wants to break the news to Phoebe because of the last time she and Cole had a child together.

While they can hide the parentage, they can't hide the fact that she's pregnant and Phoebe soon finds out. Because of a vision quest she went on in Magic School, Phoebe had been looking for love and speed dating a number of men to find it, which meant she had no idea as to who the father could be, but quickly dismissed Cole as the father. A few months into her pregnancy, Phoebe's high school reunion came up and she had decided to bring Cole along as eye candy and to make the more popular girls jealous, but she also read a poem that turned her into her teenage self with all the magic of her adult self. She cast a spell on the rest of the reunion to do the same to them and chaos reigned. She got together her old gang and they decided to go see their ringleader in prison, Cole coming along to make sure baby Chris was kept safe during all this madness and not doing much to fix things. Things went wrong when Phoebe's classmate decided to use them to break out of prison and then use Phoebe and her magic to rob an armored truck. Thankfully, with a little magic and trickery, they were able to deal with Phoebe's classmate and Chris' scabber demon problem at the same time. Phoebe was furious at Cole afterwards, but learned that he only didn't help because she never asked him to. Not long afterwards, Chris accidentally sleep-shimmers into Cole's bedroom and contrary to Chris' thoughts about his father from the past should act, Cole lets him stay there and doesn't kick him out when Chris ends up shimmering from the couch into his bed.

After a routine doctor's appointment where Phoebe finds out she's having a boy, a spider demon attacks her, Paige, and Chris. Chris is scratched by the spider demon and the unborn baby shows off his powers by scaring it off with some lightning. When they get home, Phoebe starts freaking out, blaming Cole for making her carry another evil child until Chris stopped her by revealing that he was her son and that he was the baby currently developing inside her. Distracted by Phoebe finding out the truth, nobody realizes until it's too late that Chris had been infected by the spider demon and soon he's trapping everyone in webbing and bringing Phoebe to the spider demon. Once they free themselves, kill the spider demon, and save Phoebe, Cole goes in and deals with his infected son. He's immediately attacked by Chris, who is upset that Cole had never told him how freeing and easy being evil was compared to the pain of trying to stay good. The sisters are able to cure Chris by Phoebe drinking the antidote and inoculating baby Chris, which passed on to his future self. Chris runs off, horrified by what he said to his father and Cole gives him time to handle things instead of going after him. Phoebe decided that it's too dangerous for her to stay at the manor and moves to Magic School. To make sure Cole can come and visit his baby son, the sisters enchant a dinky toy ring to allow him in as long as he stays in human form.

While at Magic School, Phoebe starts forcing premonitions to help her sisters and Chris find out who is after Wyatt as well as trying to find her future husband. As a massive breach of the personal gain clause, this ends up having dire consequences. When Paige and Piper went to go vanquish a demon Phoebe sent them after, they were accidentally caught on camera using magic. To remove all traces of magic seen by mortals, the neutral Cleaners made it appear like Darryl had killed the man and he was put on death row. A clipshow trial soon commences for Darryl's freedom. Cole, having been a lawyer, tries to be the defense, but Gideon shoots him down and instead he works with Leo and Chris to find the truth about it. They quickly find out that Barbas, who was playing prosecutor, was behind the whole farce and Darryl was freed long before he reached the chair. Instead, Phoebe was found guilty of using her active power for personal gain and was stripped of all her active powers and lost access to baby Chris' powers with the chance to gain them back if she changed her ways. After the trial, Cole and Chris finally get the chance to talk and resolve a few things between them. Since the Power of Three has turned into the Power of Two with Phoebe out for the near future, Paige and Piper have to pick up the slack. Not learning a lesson about personal gain, Paige conjures Mr. Right to help deal with the added stress of working overtime, which backfires and makes a Mr. Wrong that's using demons to hunt down other demons and plans to take Paige away from all this. Everyone gets upset with her, they figure out how to stop Mr. Wrong, and the day is saved thanks to some creative thinking.

As Chris' birth looms on the horizon and still no clues as to who gets to Wyatt, both Cole and Chris spend long periods of time down in the Underworld where they stumble upon a broadcast of the demonic reality TV show Witch Wars, which involves a number of demons hunting down and killing witches and each other for their powers. Both Cole and Chris decide to join the show to take it down and gather some information while they're at it. Thankfully, this coincided with Gideon taking interest in the show to make sure the Charmed Ones stay off his trail and changed the focus of the show from plain murder to completing set goals for the eventual prize of destroying the Charmed Ones and their child. Noticing where the goals are leading, father and son do the tasks with ease and forget to inform the sisters of what they're doing. Things turn almost disastrous when Belthazor and Patrobas appear at the manor alongside the demons trying to get at the sisters.

Personality: GUILT
> Why does he feel guilt? How does he express it?
Cole expresses it through his desire to do good, make up for everything he did as a demon because it's his fault and the only thing he can do is either die for his actions (which he doesn't want to) or make up for it in some way, even if that doesn't really technically help because he's a half-demon and inherently evil according to everyone around him and he honestly believes this fact more than anybody else does.
IMPULSIVITY
> If he's impulsive, is that in everything? Does he recognize it? Does it feed into his guilt if he goes off half-cocked and something ends up wrong?
It's not in everything, but it's in a lot of what he does. He doesn't recognize it at first because he's used to his amount of power keeping him safe no matter what comes along. It takes working with other people to recognize that yes, he is impulsive and yes, he is a danger if he runs off to do things without any plan to make sure everyone is taken care of and uninjured by the end of it all. When he does screw up for going in half-cocked, he blames himself and beats himself up about it and it's constant reminders and getting shouted at that no, you cannot do this you idiot multiple times that gets him to try to back himself down and work on a plan before going off and energy balling whatever gets in his way.
INTELLIGENCE
> How does he express this intelligence? What does he generally use it for, and how far does he feel safe in using this over other people? Is there a limit?
He tends to express it through the plans he concocts to get something done, like his ways to take down the Charmed Ones and later to assist them through different means beyond just throwing an energy ball at somebody's face. He also shows off his craftiness through trolling people, messing with them and finding out things they're deliberately keeping from him. He's perceptive and can pick up on things that others don't and uses it to his advantage in any situation he can as any good demon would. It's the main reason why he's survived so long on the run outside of his power. His impulsiveness and emotions can cloud his mind and make him seem like an idiot when he's anything but, though he's seemed to learned to work around that pitfall after his second death.
AGGRESSION
> How does this manifest? Is it behavioral? Physical? Does he have control of himself through it or is it a lost cause once he's fallen prey? What makes him angry?
Aggession is tied intricately to his demonic half. When he's angry, he's more likely to give in to his darker side and do violent things, even to the point of changing into his demon form and attacking people. Thankfully, it's very difficult for him to be pushed that far and he usually tends to shout and intimidate than actually attack, though in periods of his instability, it can be easier for him to go off and snap at someone than he was before. He tends to revel in his anger and aggression, taking advantage it to do things he shouldn't do as someone on the side of good now like kill when he should be holding himself back.
PROTECTIVENESS
> Who does he protect? Why does he protect them specifically? Does he consider anyone beyond his protection, either because they're too strong for it or because of his guilt??
He protects those that he loves and considers family, Phoebe and Chris at the top of that list and also emcompassing the entire Halliwell family, along with the rare few that could be called friends. It's not out of any sort of perceived weakness that he protects them, but instead because it's good to have someone watching your back and being there to help out when you need a hand, not to mention when somebody does something stupid and he has to be the clearminded one in the situation. The only times he will rescind protection from someone is if it's in conflict with somebody else's (usually Phoebe's) safety or it will bring trouble to their doorstep. He would rather have a mortal die to keep his family safe than allow the mortal to live and ruin everything they've all worked for.
LOVE
> How does it feel to be a demon who loves? As one of his greatest strengths, does Cole recognize the power it gives him? Who does he love most, and what does that love mean for everyone he loves in some capacity?
A demon that loves is kind of an oxymoron because there is no such thing as evil love, only gratification and lust, and it's only Cole's human side that gives him the true experience of love. It's this contradiction that separates him from every other demon in the world and the one thing that truly gives Cole the strength to keep going no matter what. It's his greatest strength and greatest weakness, a double-edged sword that he wields carefully. His love for his human father gave him the strength to be an incredibly powerful demon both physically and in reputation and was the one thing encouraging the good in him, while his love for Phoebe Halliwell was the catalyst he needed to truly break free from the Source and join the side of good. While Phoebe was once the love of his life, the most important person to him these days is his son, Chris, and he'd do anything for him. Really, he'd do anything for the people he loves (outside of being a coward for them) and he does his best to make sure that they are safe and happy. Anybody who treats them badly is subject to his anger and whatever punishment he can think up that would be worth the crime.
INSANITY
> Cole was once driven completely mad by being mortal while possessing incredible powers, not to mention having died twice and been through different afterlives each time. How did that warping of his mind affect him? What has his time cooling down after death done to help? Now that he's a demon again capable of controlling his powers, and has someone who doesn't judge him, where does he stand on the scale of sanity?
A major point of Cole's insanity is that while it was encouraged by being mortal while carrying demonic powers, it was truly brought about by his own fears about himself brought to life and the abandonment by the one person whose opinions truly mattered to him. His love for Phoebe twisted into obsession and the need to be acknowledged as good by her. He was pushed to the brink and never brought back and it took his second death to gain any peace of mind. Death gave him distance and time to heal, but he hadn't even been dead for a year before he was brought back and a year is definitely not enough time to help heal his mind after he had been so far gone. Being half-demon and alive once more means that he has no fear of returning to his previous levels of insanity, but he's still a broken man and nowhere near the levels of sanity he had before he had died for the first time. Having Chris around as someone who doesn't judge him has helped him and he's gotten himself to the point where he is a reasonable level of sane for his situation, but stress and anger can push him back to more manic moments where he shows just how broken his mind still is.
FAMILY
> How does Cole feel about the love of his life Phoebe, their previous relationship, what it's turned into, and what does he hope for? How does Cole feel about Chris, the son he never hoped to have who seems to adore him but has such a plethora of issues that it makes getting close hard? How does he feel to have a family and bear the responsibility that it brings?
His love for Phoebe is a complicated mess. Because of the Source of All Evil being a massive jerk and possessing Cole and using his love for her against her, Cole lost any and all trust he had with her and no matter how much love was still left between them, it was never going to go anywhere. During the time between his first and second deaths, Cole's love for Phoebe turned into both love and hate, loving her because she was his first true love and hating her for all that she was doing to him. After he was brought back after his second death, his relationship with Phoebe is far more cordial and they've become closer to friends than anything romantic, despite him being the father of her child. When it comes to Chris, Cole loves Chris and has pride in all that he's doing in the past, despite how he may go about them. He's the son he thought he was never going to have and knowing that he exists is something he's glad for everyday. There was a point where he believed that Chris' behavior was the fault of his bad parenting, he has since learned otherwise and is trying his best to change that. He loves the fact that he will have a family since he really never had one of his own and looks forward to all that this entails, responsibility and all. He does fear he won't be good enough for his son and Phoebe, but he's decided to put his all into it and no matter what, nobody would ever say he didn't try hard enough to be there for them.
HUMANITY
> How does Cole perceive humanity, considering he's been on the outside looking in for the vast majority of his life? Is it something that is not of him that he can learn, or something he grows into? What does humanity, the people around him, mean to him? What does being human himself mean?
Humanity according to Cole is complex and something he has trouble understanding considering being a demon can be basically summed up as kill witches, get bitches, profit. It is something that he tries to learn with varying degrees of success, but is ultimately something he never truly gets the chance to do thanks to outside interference and even now, he still hasn't had much in the way of a free moment to truly get the chance to be human. This really shows in how he responds to situations, taking them far less seriously than a human would just because he knows no other way to be and tends to kill first and ask questions later. Having humanity tends to equal being good to him, even though he's acutely aware that there are evil humans alongside the good ones. He wants to find his humanity so that he can be a good man, the one who can truly be with Phoebe and have a family with her like he's wanted since they actually got together when not lying to each other. Even now, with his relationship with Phoebe shattered and them gaining something closer to friendship, he still strives to gain his humanity for her and the son they have together. Plus, everyone's less likely to try vanquishing him for a third time.

Abilities:
Energy Balls: Cole's primary attack ability, it allows the user to summon a ball of energy into their hand(s) and throw it at a person. He has extensive control over his energy balls, being able to split one in half to attack two different targets, control the trajectory after it leaves his hand, and change the strength of it from a slight jolt to a powerful spirit bomb impression.
Incineration: A rare pyrokinesis skill that allows the user to cause a person to burst into flames.
Shimmering: One of the basic forms of teleportation and used primarily by demons, the user disappears in a distortion of their appearance as they fade out. Like most teleportation powers, the user can shimmer others as long as there's physical contact and can be blocked by magical interference. Depending on the user's emotional state, the speed of shimmering in and out of places can change, with fear speeding up a shimmer and sorrow slowing it down.
-Apportation: The ability to teleport items and people across long distances without physical contact. Cole primarily uses this to bring a weapon to his hand.
Telekinesis: The ability to move objects with only the user's mind. It's one of the few non-fatal attacks that Cole can use.
Sensing: Cole has the ability to sense different types of magical beings and their location, but it leaves him open to being sensed by others.
Belthazor: As a half-demon, Cole has the ability to switch between his human form and a demonic form. In this demonic form, all of his powers are strengthened considerably, as is his physical strength and resistance to both magical and physical attacks. There is a downside to this strength though. Using this form too much or too often makes him more susceptible to evil and more willing to do terrible things. Forcing himself to fully embrace his demonic side gives him access to all of his strength, but there's an almost certain chance that he will permanently return to being evil by doing so.
Augment Skillset: Communications.
